The Celtic New Year is upon us!

I am a Pagan and follow a Celtic-based path.  It always seemed odd to me to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the middle of winter.  After I started studying Paganism, I understood why.  The Celtic New Year, or Samhain is November 1, which means that  Halloween, or “All Hallows Eve” is October 31.  Once I started following the Celtic Wheel of the Year and celebrating the changing of the seasons, December 31 ceased to have much meaning to me.

We find ourselves just three weeks away from Samhain.  A time to pay homage to those who have gone before and to sit in reflection of the year past and to not only set goals for the year to come, but make note of the adjustments needed in order to see those goals to fruition.

Reading April 6 002

One way to do that is a “Wheel of the Year” reading.  You draw a card to represent each month, starting with November and making your way around the Wheel to October of next year.  Then you examine not only each card individually, but how the cards relate to each other.  Soon, you will see a pattern and perhaps gain clarity with regard to what needs to be released, what direction you should take, what goals you should set for yourself, and perhaps even confirmation that you are indeed exactly where you are meant to be right now.

I have been guided to offer a free Wheel of the Year reading.  I have several decks and typically listen to my intuition with regard to which one to use.  Or I am sometimes drawn to use more than one.  I will draw a card for each month, offering you both the meaning of the card and any messages I receive, as well as how the cards are interacting with each other.  I also like to recommend a crystal or crystals to help you with whatever messages come through.  I will e-mail you photos of the layout, as well as all of the notes I take during the reading.  The process typically takes about 2 hours.

Wheel of the Year reading

Just comment below if this is of interest.  I will use one of those fancy schmancy computer generators to pick a number and then post the winner’s name on Sunday, October 19th.

Thank you for stopping by!  I look forward to hearing from you.

Oh No !

Yesterday, I had this overwhelming need to surround myself with aquamarine.  Interestingly enough, it is my birthstone and for the longest time I felt like I was given the short end of the stick.  It’s not a very glamorous stone.  In fact, I found it rather boring.  Then, suddenly everything changed.  I let go of the resentment and started seeing the beauty in it.  The more I worked with it, the more I wanted to work with it.

I was going to go do a little shopping but kept getting a “no”.  So I sat with the feeling a bit.  Then I remembered that I bought a bag of raw aquamarine a while back, which was sitting in a bird feeder in my healing room.  I went in with the intention of taking a piece to sit with.  That’s when I noticed the dust.  I gathered it up and washed it in warm water, setting it on a towel to dry.  I went through the pieces, admiring them and was struck by how beautiful they were.  I was inspired to create a new arrangement and to add three pieces of smoky quartz.

Aquamarine Faerie

I felt so strongly about the crystals that I felt there must be a message there.  I was guided to draw a single card today and imagine my surprise when this fella showed up!

Reading for the Blog - Sept 21 Oh No!

He is a trickster, so proceed with caution.  Keep your wits about you and your heart open.  Oh No has been waiting a long time to meet you and he’s ready to get to work.  His job?  Shaking things up a bit.  Shoving you out of your comfort zone.  Waking you up.

If you don’t stir the pot, things will end up stuck to the bottom and who wants that?  Sometimes things happen in life that aren’t what you wanted and certainly aren’t what you expect.  You can be stubborn and think the world is against you or you can see the blessing in every situation.  That’s when doors start to open.

Everyone who knows me has heard me say that my goal was to build a home on Miscou Island.  I would go on and on about how I couldn’t wait to move there.  But I didn’t do much to make that happen.  Every year I would tell myself that I would go there for a holiday and every year, I just couldn’t make it work.  Instead of asking myself where the obstacle was, I became resentful and sad.

When I told my sister it looked like I wasn’t going for yet another year, she suggested a trip to Victoria.  I hummed and hawed and was less than enthusiastic.  To be blunt, I was resistant and stubborn.  She went on to say it wouldn’t be that expensive and that it was so beautiful there.  I pondered for a while and then said it sounded good but that I wasn’t comfortable travelling alone.  More resistance and excuses.

“I’ll go with you.”

I couldn’t exactly argue with that.  We set a date, bought our tickets, booked the hotel and whale watching tour.  Then we started researching and it turned into quite an exciting adventure!  I was not in any way prepared to fall hopelessly in love with BC.  So much so that I have decided to make my home there.  It’s a three year plan, but it is a plan all the same.  I will write a more detailed blog post about my trip soon, but for now I wanted to share this shift in my thinking to illustrate how things can happen out of the blue that you weren’t planning and certainly weren’t expecting.  How a seemingly innocent suggestion that I visit a place that I’d never been and hadn’t considered could change the course of my life so dramatically.

Oh No had foiled my plans to go to New Brunswick because I was supposed to go to BC!

So when Oh No turns up, just go with the flow.  Sometimes it can get a little messy.  That just means it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work.  Sometimes it can be rather abrupt.  That is just a sign that your attention is needed elsewhere.

Aquamarine is a stone of courage and was often given to sailors for protection.  It is sometimes referred to as “Mermaid Stone”.  It is also believed to counteract the forces of darkness, carrying the protection and love of the spirits of light.

Smoky Quartz helps raise your vibration, release what no longer serves, and offers you protection.  It will also help you make contact with like-minded people who can help you on your journey.

Oh No is here.  Are we paying attention?  Are we going to get to work so he doesn’t have to?  When something happens that is unexpected or not according to plan, take a moment and ask yourself “What’s REALLY going on here?  What am I missing?  What is the message?”  You may just find yourself on a path you didn’t even know existed.

Have you experienced a major course correction lately?  Was there ever a time when something took you by surprise and you realized that you were looking at a new direction you hadn’t even considered?  I look forward to you feedback and hope you have an amazing week!

Step inside the Fairy Ring…

I am so happy to be back into the swing of things!  This week’s Faerie Guidance comes from the Fairy Ring Oracle deck.

Faeries are often referred to as “elementals”, which refers to the element they are closely associated with.  I was guided to draw 5 cards, which represents the 5 elements – Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit.

Blog Reading - Sept 14 001

I tried to take photos of the individual cards to share, but today the Faeries weren’t co-operating and all I managed to capture were blurs.  Just click the image to get a closer look.

The first thing I notice in the spread is the presence of two Fairy Festival cards.  These are of great significance and carry a lot of weight in any reading.  The Lughnasa card is associated with a Faerie mound and the Ostara card a Faerie island, so this tells me that there is a lot of ground covered in this reading.

Earth – “Lughnasa”

The Faeries are welcoming you.  It seems that it has taken you some time to reach the point where you feel grounded and centered.  It is time to reap the benefits of all the work that you have done in the last year.  Something to keep in mind is that the Universe will open many doors but it is you who has to take the next step.  You can stand there for a lifetime, wondering what is on the other side but too afraid to move forward.  Change, even when it is something we’ve asked for, can be a difficult process.  Take a moment and reflect on the goals you set, as well as all you did to work toward them.  Then trust in the fact this is all part of the process and take that step.

Air – “Befind”

Befind has come to you with her two companions.  She typically manifests at times of birth, marriage, or death.  Remember, that “death” means so much more than the physical.  It can indicate the end of one way of thinking/acting/believing and the beginning (or birth) of new ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and ways of living.

This card indicates a rite of passage and when it appears with Lughnasa, it tells me that not only will you reap the benefits of the work you have done, but you will also grow as a person.  A life-changing experience is on its way.  Embrace the change, for it is what you’ve sought, whether consciously or otherwise.

Fire – “Mermaid”

I know what you’re thinking.  The Mermaid is a water symbol.  Let’s look at it from a different perspective.  How many ships have sunk because of them?  How many men have lost themselves in search of them?  How many stories have been written about them?  The passion they ignite within us remains in the evidence they leave in their wake.

What are you truly passionate about?  Do you find something coming up in your life over and over again?  This is how the Universe tries to get our attention.  What messages are there, waiting for us?

Water – “Unseelie Court”

Here we have a gathering of 8 Faeries, three of which are skeletons floating toward the sky.  Not a group of characters you would want to meet in a dark alley, that much is true.  But they hold an important message for us just the same.

Not everyone wants us to change.  This is typically a fear-based reaction.  They are afraid that if we change, we will leave them behind.  So they do everything they can to keep us where we are.  They are stuck and they want company, no matter what it takes.  These people sometimes become so desperate, they transform into “dream squishers”.

“That’s a silly dream.”

“I know someone who tried that and it didn’t work.”

“You can’t make any money doing that.”

Sound familiar?  That’s the cry of the dream squisher.  They will say and do anything to turn you from your path.  They try to inject doubt and instill fear into those around them by using negativity.  This can be difficult to overcome and at times it means ending friendships or keeping family at an arm’s length.  Above all else, stay positive.  Sometimes your positive outlook can turn them around and soon you’ll find they’re just as excited about your goals as you are.  So much so, they start making changes in their own lives.

If that doesn’t work and they won’t let up, stop sharing information with them.  Come up with a gameplan that works for you, a timeline for your next step, new goals to achieve.  Light a candle and ask that you are led to the tools you need and the path you need to be on.  Ask that those who are on board with your plan are brought into your life.  Soon you will find yourself surrounded with people who not only support your goals but want to help you achieve them.

Take care when recruiting new allies.  Ensure they are of like-mind and not simply along for the ride.  If they seem to be far too interested in what’s in it for them, then it’s best to release them.  On the other hand, don’t be afraid to express your dreams.  You never know who might be able to help you.  A difficult balancing act, I know.  But you will see a benefit once you find that balance.

Spirit – “Ostara”

Ostara is the arrival of Spring.  The light after the long dark winter.  The appearance of this card indicates the overcoming of obstacles and the realization of your goals.

It is the dawn of a new day, filled with possibilities.  Creativity, emergence, energy, ideas, versatility, dexterity, idealism, and individuality.

This tells me that you will leave behind that which does not serve and embrace the new that presents itself to you.  The past will seem like a dream and when you look back at all you accomplished, you may find it hard to believe.  Patience and perseverance are the key.

Blog Reading - Sept 14 007

Change can be difficult, balancing both outside influences and your own insecurities.  I highly recommend working with Pietersite.  It helps you move through change without fear and to see situations for what they are and not what we imagine them to be.

Pictured are my Pietersite pendant, bracelet, and three tumbled stones.

I hope this reading was helpful to you and welcome any feedback you may have.

Message from the Selkies

I tend to work on more than one project at any given time.  Among the stories that I am currently developing is one that revolves around Selkies.  The Selkies (or Seal-people) of Scotland originate in the seas around Orkney.  In Ireland, they are referred to as “Roane”.

Legend has it that Selkies come ashore, typically on the full moon.  They shed their skins and take human form for a short while.  If humans approach, they will grab their skins and return to the sea.  There are many stories of Selkie women who are trapped because a human fisherman has found their skin and thus they are obliged to remain with him and marry him.  But she will always pine for the sea and should she find her skin, she will take it and return to her true home.

Selkie men are more elusive and seem to be even harder to come across.  It is said that if a human woman sheds 7 tears into the sea, a Selkie man will come to her.  Like their female counterparts, they will marry but often leave a trail of broken hearts in their wake.  There is no love so strong that can compete with the sea.

I have several Faerie decks and only one has a Selkie card – The Fairy Ring Oracle.

Selkie Reading - Sept 7 2014

Number Nine in the Autumn Court,

paired with my Aquamarine bracelet and Larimar pendant.

Divinitory Meaning :

“The Selkie indicates the ability to adapt to any situation and any environment.  Her lesson is a balanced approach and the need for fluidity, movement, and good co-ordination.”

Sometimes we are called upon to adapt to changes that we have little or no control over.  To fight this change is like trying to fight the tide.  A pointless effort that will only leave us frustrated and exhausted.  The key is to find a way to ride the waves until the waters are peaceful once again.

If you attempt to contact a Selkie with the intention of what you can gain, you will surely fail.  They are suspicious of humans, especially those with ulterior motives.   If you feel a pull toward the sea and simply want to connect, you may have better luck and only if you are patient.

Two crystals that will help this connection are Aquamarine, which will bring peace and serenity, as well as protection.  Another is Larimar or “Dolphin Stone” which brings with it the energy of dolphins.  It is also a stone for those searching for their true calling, and for those who feel a calling toward the ocean this can definitely be of help.

Do you have a connection to the sea?  What sorts of things do you do to deepen that connection?

I am working on a more in-depth post about Selkies and look forward to sharing that with you.

Sometimes all it takes is a Bright Spark

I have had a lot of “stuff” going on in my personal life.  Summer has a way of doing that, doesn’t it?  Living on the Canadian Prairies means packing as much fun as you can into just a few weeks.  Before you know it, fall is here and the weather goes from overwhelmingly hot to somewhat chilly, literally overnight.

I thought a Faerie Guidance reading was long overdue and was drawn to use the Heart of Faerie deck by Brian and Wendy Froud.  When I was shuffling the cards, the Bright Spark jumped out onto the table.  Isn’t she cute?  She certainly grabbed my attention and as it turns out, that’s exactly her purpose.  Let’s see what messages she has for us.

Sometimes it feels like everyone around us has gone mad.  You suddenly find yourself wandering through unfamiliar territory where just a week ago, you were sailing along as though you hadn’t a care in the world.  Something needs to change, but you have no idea where to start.

What you’re looking for is the Bright Spark.  That tiny flash of light.  That slight hint that what you need is “over here”.  This card certainly resonates with me.

Faerie Guidance for the Blog - Aug 24

When you’ve wandered off the path, it’s usually because you get caught up in other people’s drama.  Or perhaps you’re causing your own issues, getting wound up in things that really don’t matter all that much when you step back and look at them.  It is a slow process, so you’re usually unaware of it until things get completely out of control.  Now is the time to ask yourself why.  If you are being drawn in by others or if it is a case where you are causing a whirlwind of inner conflict, the question remains the same.  Why am I attracted to the drama?  Am I bored and simply wanting to shake things up?  Am I frustrated with my situation and looking for a way out?

Call upon the Bright Spark.  She can help you sort through the situation.  Once you can see the root of it, you can find the lesson waiting there, and thus a way to turn things around.  Once that happens, you can untangle yourself from the drama and find your way back to where you’re meant to be.  Best of all, you will have been able to resolve things within yourself and recognize when you’re being distracted in the future.

Are you finding yourself restless?  Are you looking for a change?  Ask the Bright Spark for help and then get ready for that flash of inspiration!

Heart of Faerie Oracle Reading

I apologize for my absence.  It’s been a pretty interesting few weeks.

I decided to do a Past/Present/Future reading for next week.  The overall message is manifestation.  Many of us are looking to bring something into our lives, realize long-held dreams, make the changes that we feel will enhance our lives.  But how many of us stop to contemplate what must be done before this can happen?  The Faeries are here to help.

Reading - June 6 2014 001

THE PAST – The Queen of Shadows

Everyone has a Shadow Self.  The aspects of our personality that we don’t want to look at.  The experiences we’ve had that, while they have shaped us, have also hurt us.  Things that we have locked away.  Unfortunately, there are times when people or situations will trigger those shadow issues and we are blindsided.  We react in ways that are contrary to who we are and those fear-based reactions can be traced back to those old wounds.  Reading - June 6 2014 002

When we work to manifest something in our lives – a new job, a new home, a new relationship, financial abundance – the Universe always asks us to do some spiritual housekeeping first.  It’s like a trade.  Have you ever attempted to manifest something, only to find that the opposite happens?  The world isn’t against you.  There are just some lessons you need to learn before the manifestation can occur.

For example :  in order to experience financial abundance, you have to appreciate your current financial situation.  If you do not show gratitude for what you already have, then you can’t possibly attract more.  If your finances aren’t in order, that is a sign of disrespect for the money you already have.  Taking a look at your financial situation, especially if it isn’t ideal, can be very difficult.  Being honest about how you arrived there isn’t usually a positive experience.  But in doing so, you can amend previous patterns and make serious decisions on how you can do things differently in the future.

The Queen of Shadows is here to remind us that we all have a shadow side.  Things we don’t want to look at.  But if we continue to ignore the past then we will not achieve what we want in the future.  Now is the time to shed some light on what is holding you back.

THE PRESENT – The Dreaming

Reading - June 6 2014 003

What is it that you REALLY want?  Many of us are afraid to dream.  Afraid to ask for what it is we truly want.  Perhaps this is because we feel undeserving.  Or perhaps we are afraid there “isn’t enough to go around” and that if we ask for X that means that someone else has to go without.

The thing to remember is that no two dreams are identical.  They are as individual as the dreamer.  So go ahead and dream!  Whatever it is you wish for will manifest in exactly the way it is meant for you.

Dreaming isn’t doing.  In this case, that’s a good thing.  Dreaming gives us the opportunity to explore what it is we want, to make plans, to see what may happen if we take this path or that.

Sometimes dreaming enables us to find solutions to problems.  It can also bring clarity to what it is we truly want.  So go ahead and dream!

THE FUTURE – The Sorcerer

Reading - June 6 2014 004

This interesting little man may not look like it, but he is one of the most powerful residents of Faerie.  Every wish has consequences, a price to be paid.  It’s not always dire, but it is necessary.

For example, you may dream of living in Hawaii.  I can understand why.  But if you live some distance away, you will have to face leaving your friends and family behind.  That is the price of your dream.  It may be something you have to become comfortable with and that may take a bit of time.

The old saying “be careful what you wish for” applies here.  Think carefully before you call upon The Sorcerer.  He will help you if it suits his purpose, but there is a price to be paid for that help.  This comes back to The Queen of Shadows.  If you want to embrace the new, you must release the old and that isn’t always easy.

It could be that when he shows up, you experience this flash of insight and know exactly why the two of you have come together.  Definitely ask him what you long to know, but be prepared to return the favor.

Full Moon “Fairy Ring” Reading

I wasn’t able to do a reading for the blog on Sunday.  Rather than wait a full week, I decided to offer you a Full Moon Faerie Ring reading.  What better deck than the Fairy Ring Oracle?

I drew 8 cards and lay them in a circle.  The first thing I should point out is that they are not in order, but rather are two groups of four.  The card at the top being #1, then proceeding clockwise – 5, 2, 6, 3, 7, 4, and 8.  My intention was to provide guidance between now and the next full moon.

The first thing I noticed is that there are four cards dealing with Water and two dealing with Fire.  I also note that the predominant suit is Summer.  Take a moment, look at each of the cards, and see if one in particular calls out to you. (You will want to click on the image below so that you can see it enlarged)

Full Moon Fairy Ring Reading 001

I will go through the cards in numerical order, explaining the meaning of each, along with the meaning with regard to their placement in the Circle.  I will also offer whatever messages I receive.

Card #1 – Reveals your current life phase.

The Elder Queen

The Elder Queen is the Queen of the Summer Court.  When she appears in a reading, it indicates grace, warmth, protection, kindness, strength, and help from a friend.  She may also be here to tell of success in a current venture.  You will notice that she is very simply dressed which indicates to me that everything is not always as it seems.  Just because someone has a long list of credentials, a fancy house, and a designer wardrobe does not make them more able to help you or more knowledgeable on any given topic.  Now, I am not saying that those who have financial abundance are “bad”.  Definitely not.  But I feel that we often are too quick to judge.  Teachers take many forms and are often overlooked because of our short sightedness.

Card #2 – Shows what is behind you.

Tam Lin

Tam Lin is here to acknowledge the overcoming of trying times, release from a bad or frightening situation, recovery from illness, weight lifted from the mind.

His message is that you were able to “hang in there”, to weather the storm, to see your way though the darkness and into the light.  It was a lot of work and there were many lessons along the way, but you made it!  It’s important not to forget that or belittle your accomplishments.  You have done what many others could not and may serve as inspiration for someone in a similar situation.

Card #3 – Shows what is before you.

The Fire Drake

The Fire Drake.  Many of us are experiencing a time of restlessness and a desire for change.  We are entering into a cycle of creativity.  If we are able to harness and direct that energy toward our own endeavors, the rewards will be great.  Innovation and invention, paired with passion are fuel for a creative mind.

When this energy is present, it’s important to stay grounded.  You may need a bit of water to tame the fire, so that you don’t get carried away and end up burning yourself in the process.  A piece of jet, paired with aquamarine will do the trick!

Card #4 – Indicates weaknesses to overcome.

Fairy Horse    The Fairy Horse/Kelpie card is one of a few in this deck that are two parts of the whole.  Two ways of looking at a situation.  A need for perspective.  In this case, the Fairy Horse appears upright, so it is this creature that we turn to for the message.

He indicates movement and travel, journeys to new places and opportunities for new experiences.  Good health, vitality, energy, and innovation.  Change will happen quickly, everything will fall into place, progress will be made.  This is a case of “be careful what you wish for” and a time to focus on what it is you truly want and not what you don’t.  You attract what you focus on and – good or bad – it will come hard and fast.  Will it be yet another lesson or will you see the reward of all your hard work?

Card #5 – Shows strengths that need to be developed.

Asrai   Asrai.  Notice how she has one hand in the water and one reaching up toward the shore.  You cannot expect to move forward if you are afraid to let go of the past.  You cannot have both.

You will be faced with a moral choice.  It could be as simple as recognizing right from wrong.  Or it could be complex, with many options available to you.  Will you have to choose between the Spiritual and the Material?

Listen to your inner voice.  Before you say you don’t have one or that you don’t know how to use it, think back to a time when something “just didn’t feel right”.  THAT, is your intuition.  We all possess it.  It takes strength of character to abide by it, no matter what.  Is there someone in your life that constantly asks you to go against your intuition?  Perhaps it’s time for some distance, that you may gain some clarity.

Whatever choice you make, you must be prepared to accept the consequences.  Think it through.  Don’t allow yourself to be rushed into a decision by outside influences who have no stake in the matter.  You’re a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for (remember Tam Lin).  Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Card #6 – Indicates obstacles that lie in your way.

Ostara

The Fairy Festival Card of Ostara

Can you see the Fairy Island in the distance?  There is a lot of water in this reading, a lot of references to islands.  What meaning does that hold for you?

Dawning creativity, emergence, versatility, dexterity, idealism, individuality.  An idea or situation begins to crystalize and take form.  All of this amazing energy is fantastic, but often we get swept away with the idea and no thought is given to how we’re going to transform that into being.  Daydreaming is great, but there comes a time when you have to formulate a plan.

Emergence is a wonderful, transformative state.  It is the light at the end of the tunnel, finally being reached.  An awakening after a long sleep.  A breaking free of false beliefs and a release of what no longer serves.  Like anything else, you have to WANT to move forward.  Only then will you see change occur.  It can be hard to let go, but once you acknowledge that a person, situation, or state of mind is not healthy for you it becomes easier to release.  Once that is done, you can open yourself up to new opportunities.

Card #7 – Shows what will help you.

The Sea Mither

The Sea Mither (Mother) is the Queen of the Spring Court.

Do you see the lighthouse in the distance?  There are forces at work, guiding you to safety.  I absolutely love this card because to me, it symbolizes feminine strength combined with compassion, kindness, and truth.

Powerful, creative energies surround you.  Creativity can take many forms and mean something different to each of us.  For me personally, it immediately means writing but also ties into music and art.  For others, it may symbolize fertility, abundance, stability, partnerships.  It could even mean a happy marriage or the birth of a child (not necessarily your own).

The Sea Mither is a benevolent Fairy who brings warmth and seasonal calm to the island waters.  Under her rule, life and summer return to the sea and to the islands.  If you are like me and have a strong connection to the sea, call upon the Sea Mither to help navigate the storms, bring peace, clarity, and the ability to see the lesson in it all.

Card #8 – The Final Outcome of this Phase

Gwyn Ap Nudd

Gwyn Ap Nudd is the King of the Winter Court, the Welsh King of the Underworld who appears with his owl familiar and Glastonbury Tor in the background.  The Owl is a symbol for Blodeuwedd.  The Sisterhood of Avalon honors Her as the Lady of Initiation.  She calls upon us to seek out our truth and in doing so, become who we long to be.  She is also the Goddess observed during Emergence, someone to guide us out of darkness and into the light, bringing with us a new awareness of ourselves.

Gwyn Ap Nudd is here to indicate deeply buried secrets, things hidden even from ourselves.  Concealed fears, suppressed feelings, self-imposed restrictions, or bondages to the past.

He leads the Welsh Hounds of the Underworld on a hunt for newly-dead souls.  Any time that a reference to death appears in a reading, it indicates change.  The death of one way of thinking, doing, living, acting and the birth of the new.  This can be something as simple as giving up smoking or something as complex as a change of direction in your life.  One has to give up the old in order to welcome the new.  This message has come up again and again in this reading.

So it is time to ask yourself what you are going to have to give up in order to move forward.  It doesn’t have to be traumatic.  It can be as simple as giving up the false belief that you can’t accomplish your goals.  Take some time, ground and center, ask yourself if there is anything standing in your way.  Is there anything you can do to help yourself along?  Do you have a “dream squisher” in your life?  Someone who does not respect your boundaries?  Is there are habit that you would be better off without?  Are you procrastinating?  If so, ask yourself why.  Is it a fear-based reaction to change?  Is there something you need to do before you can move forward?  Or perhaps it’s time to change your focus until you are able to fully commit.  There’s no shame at all in recognizing you need to do a bit of work before you’re ready to move on.  In the long run, it will make your life so much easier.

The stones that come up for me in association with this reading are :

Aquamarine – this stone is associated with water and can help balance out passion, calm the stormy seas

Pietersite – to help you fearlessly move through change

Green Calcite – to help release what no longer serves with kindness and compassion, most especially for yourself

Jet – to protect you from other people’s emotional “stuff”

Clear Quartz – a master-healer, it provides clarity and focus

I am also guided to recommend the album “Celtic Mystique” by Howard Baer.  My father brought a copy back from a business trip years ago and I listen to it often.  I have found it strengthens my connection to the Fae and to the Celtic Lands where they are known to reside.

As with any reading, sit with each of the cards for a bit.  Gaze upon the Fairy Ring and see what messages wait there for you.  Take some time to reflect and come back to it later if need be.  This reading was very empowering for me, and I hope you feel the same.  Definitely post your feedback in the comments below, if you are open to sharing any messages you have I would love to hear them as well.

Bendithion!
